Mathilde Gilhet

BIOGRAPHY

ASSOCIATE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

A native of France, Mathilde has been an immigrant since she was 17.

As a professional dancer, Mathilde worked with different companies such as Ballet Junior de Geneve (Switzerland), Teatro Nacional Sao Carlos (Portugal), Alias Company (Switzerland), Quorum Ballet (Portugal), The French Embassy in Portugal, FluxFlow Dance Project (USA) and joined in July 2020, Tanz Luzern Theater (Switzerland).

As a dance instructor, she worked as the Head of the Contemporary Dance Program at FLUX + FLOW Dance and Movement Center in Columbus, Ohio and was a full time faculty member for Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, Canada. 

An engaged artist, she created the WE Program at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide low-cost dance classes and support projects of emerging movers.

Mathilde is the Associate Artistic Director of On Board(hers) since 2018.
