Born in Iran, Bita Bell is an international multimedia artist-activist working in contemporary dance, music, and film who recently relocated from New York City to Vienna for a PhD program in Cultural Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts.
She has an MFA in Dance from The Ohio State University where her thesis project, Dam Noosh, was awarded the AGGRS grant. She is regularly invited to give performative conferences in different institutions around the world.
In 2019, she performed with the Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot at NovaRock Festival and the EuroPride stage by the Rathaus in Vienna. She was appointed as the lead dancer for their 2020 North-American Tour which was canceled due to the Pandemic.
She joined On Board(hers) as a performer and Creative Assistant in 2018 and is now an Ambassador working from Vienna, Austria.
